The highly-successful show, dubbed ‘Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn’, was filled with a variety of performances—from high-energy dance numbers, powerhouse vocal sets, duet performances, and heartfelt moments that kept the Kapuso abroad in high spirits.
As the concert attendees entered the venue, they were already greeted with Filipino festive music performed by the rondalla group of the Filipino Arts and Music Ensemble (FAME).
The show’s highlights were when the Kapuso stars took the opportunity to celebrate Mother’s Day by serenading three well known and respected Fil-Am Mothers, Cora Reyes, Menchu de Luna and Joyce Andes-Davis while giving out roses to the moms in the audience. They also serenaded five Fil-Am community leaders who represented their outstanding organizations – Helen Kwong of CEBU, Inc., Theia delos Santos of Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue (FIND, Inc.), Eddie Manongsong of FALConn (Filipino Amateur League in Connecticut), Dulce Barangan of Ilocano American Association, Inc. (IAAI) and Fely Perez of Philippine Heritage Center. In this special segment, the Kapuso female artists wore elegant, highly creative gowns designed by noted Fil-Am fashion designer, RC Caylan.

The Studio 7 squad expressed their utmost gratitude for making their first international Musikalye show a huge success.
Christian, who exhibited why he is one of GMA’s most powerful singers with his stellar performances, feels grateful for the overwhelming support of the Kapuso abroad, “Thank you so much for spending time with us.”

Thankful for the opportunity to entertain the Filipinos in the US, Kyline shared, “Sobrang saya makasama ng mga Kapuso natin sa New York at hopefully, makasama ko ulit sila soon.”

One of the crowd favorites, Betong, is grateful to again be able to share laughter with the Kapuso abroad. “Maraming-maraming salamat po. Amazing thanks sa inyong suporta, sa mainit ninyong pagtanggap, at sana po tuluy-tuloy lang po ang pagsuporta ninyo sa GMA Pinoy TV.”

Some of the Kapuso abroad, who greatly enjoyed the show, also expressed their appreciation to the spectacular concert experience.

The concert also received praises from netizens. Christina Sheugar said on her Instagram post, "You guys rock. Thank you for entertaining us New Yorkers and beyond!" NYC YouTubers Roy Flores and David Kirsch, whose YouTube Channel is called “Pinoy and a Jew,” said in their vlog, “All of them are great! It’s a true representation of the Filipino artistry."

One of GMA Pinoy TV's Facebook followers, meanwhile, said the show was worth the wait, "It was nice seeing you all and so glad I was able to attend the concert. We drove from Rhode Island just to attend the concert and see them." Twitter user Rafaila Rose, on the other hand, tweeted, "Great show GMA Pinoy TV. Hope to see more like this in different countries around the globe.” Because of the positive feedback the show received online, the hashtag #ALDENxKPS7Brooklyn even made it to Twitter Philippines' trend list and ranked as the third most talked about topic last May 11.
“We are glad to have brought the ultimate music tambayan experience of Studio 7 in New York,” says GMA First Vice President and Head of International Operations Joseph T. Francia.
“It affirms our mission to bring our Kapuso abroad feel closer to home and provide them with great entertainment they deserve from no less than some of the Network’s multi-talented performers,” he added.
Kapusong Pinoy Studio 7 Musikalye sa Brooklyn was presented by GMA Pinoy TV in coordination with GMA Entertainment Group, under the supervision of GMA Vice President for Business Development and Department III Darling de Jesus-Bodegon.
The concert was directed by Mark A. Reyes V and in association with Synergy Production & Marketing Inc. headed by Grace Labaguis.
