New York City - Last night, May 4th, over a hundred Filipinos and members of both Phil Am and mainstream media sat down in front of the computer and discussed via Zoom how to detect and control the latest "pests" in social media..the trolls.
FilAm NY Atty. Loida Nicolas Lewis, a community activist who is a staunch supporter of Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan in the May 9 election in the PH, was the organizer of the Zoom conference. She delivered an opening where she warned, once again, of the creeping Chinese influence in many aspects of Philippine life.
Lora Nicolas Olaes served as moderator of the interesting "troll exchanges" during the Q&A.
Resource person was Liz Derr, founder of trollexposer.com, a web site about trolls.
