WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ambassador Jose Manuel G. Romualdez hosted a meet-and-greet for the leaders and members of the National Press Club (NPC) at the Philippine Embassy on 31 March 2023.
In his remarks, and during the ensuing open forum, Ambassador Romualdez discussed issues such as press freedom in the Philippines; peace and security in Southeast Asia; Filipinos and their contribution to American society; the importance of the thriving relationship between the Philippines and the United States in addressing issues of human rights and climate change; and, most importantly, the beauty of the Philippines and its people.

After the program, Embassy officials, namely: Deputy Chief of Mission Jaime Ramon T. Ascalon, Jr.; Consul General Iric Cruz Arribas; Political Section Head, Minister Donna M. Rodriguez; Economic Section Head, First Secretary Dominic M. Imperial; and, Public Diplomacy Head, Third Secretary Mark Dominic E. Lim, were able to further discuss their respective portfolios and relevant updates about the Philippines.
