The Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. PIDCI, led by Nora Galleros as president with grand marshal Dr. Dely Go hosted the first Independence Cruise in New York to kick-off the annual parade commemorating the declaration of Philippine independence. Guests from the Philippines included Senator Risa Hontiveros; the Bacolod City MassKara Festival Dance Group; with celebrities Xian Lim, Cesar Montano and beauty queens Venus Raj and Megan Young. Representatives from the Philippine Consulate also participated, led by Consul General Senen Mangalile with Deputy Consul General Adrian Cruz. Philippine Airlines, Neocolors Productions International and supporters of PIDCI from the Filipino community including members of the media also joined in the Independence Cruise. June 3, 2023.
