NINE TERMINATED JOLLIBEE EMPLOYEES IN NJ WIN CASE; GET REINSTATED AND TO RECEIVE $84K EACH IN BACKPAY SETTLEMENT; HOUSE OF REPS VS HOUSE OF DUTERTE; GEORGE SANTOS EXPELLED FROM US CONGRESS
Ten months after 9 Jollibee employees in Jersey City were terminated by their employer for asking for payraise and fairer working conditions, the National Labor Relations Board in NY decided in favor of the employees by ordering their reinstatement and effecting settlement thay will pay each of them $84,000 + in backpay.
One of the leaders of the terminated workers, anticipated the victory correctly as early as last summer. "This is a triumph of justice. It shows that if we fight for what we know is right, we will achieve justice in the end."
The News agency Newsbreak reported the story today.

House of Reps vs House of Duterte
The "war" between the representatives of the people in PH Congress on one hand, and former president Rodrigo Duterte and daughter Sara on the other, is in full swing.
The ex-prez started it by accusing the congressmen as "most corrupt' in PH society. The accusation was triggered by the reps refusal to grant Sara's budgetary request for P650 million in intelligence and confidential funds for her OVP and DepEd offices for 2024.
Earlier this week, two House committees passed resolutions urging the Office of President to allow the International Criminal Court to conduct an investigation of Duterte's drug war (in the PH) that resulted in the killings of some 30,000 suspected drug users known as "extra judicial killings."
This possibility of being jailed in The Hague is a topic which Duterte seems extremely fearful of. And for obvious reason. Although, ICC cannot impose punishment of over 30 years imprisonment to any convicted individual.
