Philippine Cuisine Showcased in the SOFC International Food Festival in New York

NEW YORK – The Philippine Consulate General in New York actively took part in the 2023 International Food Festival organized by the Society of Foreign Consuls (SOFC) in New York at the Turkish House.

The Consulate showcased an array of delectable Filipino dishes including pusit (squid) sisig by Mama Fina’s, ukoy (shrimp fritter) by Tito Rads, and ube bao by Kalye, accompanied by refreshing Philippine mango and calamansi (Philippine lime) juices. Fifteen other Consulates also offered dozens of culinary treats and beverages.



Adding to the cultural celebration, C.E.B.U. Inc. presented an outstanding Sinulog performance.



SOFC represents the Consular Corps in New York and is considered as the largest diplomatic community organization in the world. Consul General Mangalile is an elected member of the SOFC Executive Committee representing countries in Southeast Asia.

The International Food Festival was participated in by the diplomatic and consular corps in New York and attended by over 200 guests.
